Tips to pack for a motorcycle trip.
Effective packing can make a huge difference on the enjoyment of your motorcycle trip.
When packing for a long solo motorcycle trip, consider essentials like:
1. Protective gear: Helmet, gloves, riding jacket, and pants. Don’t forget your clear shield- you will be sad/frustrated if you have to pull a longer ride or if it starts raining.
2. Maintenance tools: Tire repair kit, multi-tool, and spare parts. You never know what can happen!
3. Clothing: Layered clothing for different weather conditions. I am so serious about this. I rather be a sweaty bish that a cold one.
4. Personal items: Identification, insurance, and first-aid kit. Always share your location with your loved ones.
5. Navigation: GPS or maps, smartphone, and charger, and a paper map!!! Your gps might lose service. Also, consider a solaR powered radio for emergencies.
6. Camping gear (if needed): Tent, sleeping bag, and cooking equipment.
7. Snacks and water: Stay hydrated and energized on the road. I like protein bars and jerky - not too heavy that makes me sleepy and keeps me energized.
8. Rain gear: Waterproof clothing or covers for sudden downpours. Because it sucks to get wet and be cold while riding hahahaha!
9. Bike-specific items: Bungee cords, luggage, and a bike cover.
10. Emergency contact information: In case of accidents or breakdowns.
