ABOUT ME

It all started when…

Dreams are not what you see in your sleep, dreams are things that don’t let you sleep...
⁣I remember being seven years old listening to Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” thinking about what it meant and what would be like living in The United States of America. Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, my little head didn’t understand the concept of war or what being an immigrant meant.⠀

In 2016, after 20 years of living in the united states as a green card holder (and work & student visas) among 3,506 other immigrants, I became an American citizen. I have been living in LA since my days in college at Loyola Marymount University and inspired by last couple years public affairs, I knew I needed to do step up, do something and truly be part of my country; this country. Today I finally feel like I have a voice to make a difference, even in my business. ⠀⠀

And this is what has been keeping me up and motivated... eight years ago, after gathering skills from the time working at the studios in production and later one on finance, I started Graphikos by mistake… made a Facebook business page for a friend, page got traction and referrals started knocking on the door. The mix of my finance job and experience in film and tv production was the perfect combination for my marketing & branding skills. Learning about the analytics of my creative content was an eye opener; monetizing from my art and creativity! Learning to keep businesses & people connected through my marketing and branding services was something I became passionate about.

I have seen the audiences have a say in what they like and how they like it. It is empowering to use those tools for strategic planning & execution at the same time continuing that organic conversation, like talking to a friend. Just like in life; we plan, we do our very best and let results flourish.

I love that I get to be creative with photos, videos, graphic & web design but get analytical with data and research.  Today, Bruce Springsteen’s song has a different meaning: Freedom doesn’t come cheap; it doesn’t come easy, it’s an expensive privilege that comes from hard work & consistency and a having access to resources that not everyone has access to - I get it, I had many advantages that I don’t take for granted.⠀⠀

I might have not been born in this land but I am what America is all about; a hopeful immigrant that came to the land of opportunities with big dreams. Every single dream that that seven-year-old had America has provided with some sweat equity and a lot of hustle.

Keep dreaming but also keep doing 🖤

I enjoy keeping my client’s brands alive with the ongoing conversations on social outlets transforming them into web traffic. I know I have evolved as much as the forums I work with. The new conversation between brands and its audience is something I am amazed by. It is not only the brands telling the audience what they should drink, wear or use it is the people changing the brands to the better.

I used the skills I learned from my clients and started my own socials with the handle MadebyCarolina and they have been growing tremendously. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me feel when someone sees me at a show or in the street and tells me that are inspired to ride or that they have been watching me grow as a builder of things. The thing is to inspire others and be the truest to self as possible. ONe thing I am sure I have learned by being myself on the internet is that people dig honesty and to be real. All you see and all I am is here. Thank you for reading this and for following along my journey. I am grateful that you are here with me.
